The past few years have been crazy but productive, and I’m excited that as of March 2020, my latest lucid dreaming book is out in the world. The Art of Lucid Dreaming: Over 60 Powerful Practices to Help You Wake Up in Your Dreams is a super-practical guide with a unique Lucidity Quiz and 15 individualised Lucidity Programmes as well as over 65 practices for getting and staying lucid and exploring this amazing world. I wrote this book in response to the many people who write to me wondering how to get lucid – and each is a different type of sleeper and dreamer, so they each need a different approach in order to maximise their lucid dreams! I was repeating advice so much I decided to just write a book to help people to identify for themselves (with the help of an awesome Lucidity Quiz) what type of dreamer they are and which practices they need to choose in order to get lucid fast.
2017 was an incredible year, with three new lucid dream books out, each with different publishing houses. Over twenty years of lucidity research and a lifetime of lucid dreaming are packed into the biggest book, Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Lucid Dreaming. It’s a whopper, the size of at least two normal books, and filled with tips for navigating the lucid dream world. Then there’s a smaller, practical handbook for mindful and lucid dreaming called DreamTherapy: Dream your way to health and happiness. In the US and Canada, this is entitled Mindful Dreaming: Harness the Power of Lucid Dreaming for Happiness, Health and Positive Change. I also co-edited a book on children’s dreams and nightmares, Sleep Monsters & Superheroes. On this page you’ll also find my two lucid-dream-inspired novels, Breathing in Colour and Dreamrunner.

Can anything beat that moment when you take your dream books sledging for the very first time? Dream Therapy lit up like a Christmas sparkler, the rainbow on Dreamrunner glowed against the snow, and although there was a tense moment when Sleep Monsters nearly fell off the sledge, all five books had a wonderful time (and yes, snow does make me get rather silly).
