As from today, my new book, Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Lucid Dreaming, is finally out in the world.
Lucid dreaming books are like buses… you wait for ages and then several come along at once. At least, that’s what’s happened this year with my own books.
For twenty years, I’ve researched lucid dreaming, taught my lucidity tips and Lucid Writing techniques, and I’ve had many wonderful lucid dreams. Now, finally, my books are coming out into the world.
The first, a practical guide to mindful and lucid dreaming, came out in July: Dream Therapy: Dream your way to health and happiness.
And now my whopping great big lucid dreaming handbook is being published today!
Llewellyn’s Complete Book of
A Comprehensive Guide to Promote Creativity, Overcome Sleep Disturbances, and Enhance Health and Wellness.
If the title and subtitle of my newest book are a bit of a mouthful, it’s because the book tackles so many aspects of lucid dreaming.
There are chapters on the lucid dream body, how to engage with dream figures, how to resolve nightmares, how to create a fabulous lucid dreaming sex life, and how to tackle sleep disorders, as well as chapters on healing, floating in the sparkling lucid void, and dying. And so much more besides.
Whether you’re a person who barely remembers your dreams, or a lifelong lucid dreamer, this in-depth guide is the perfect next step as you cultivate the power of lucid dreaming.
This video outlines in detail the content of the book.
You can by the book in various online stores, such as on the Llewellyn site, via Barnes & Noble, and on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and other Amazon stores depending on your country (although you may have to pre-order it in Europe as it comes out there a few weeks later than in the US – no idea why!). In any case, you should be able to order it from any physical bookstore in the world.
What are people saying about Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Lucid Dreaming?
Dr Keith Hearne, the scientist who provided the world’s first proof of lucid dreaming in 1975, wrote the Foreword to my book. He remarks:
“Dr. Clare Johnson has energetically led the way in revealing the practical and spiritual potential of lucid dreaming, so far-reaching it can change the world.”
Dr. Patricia Garfield, clinical psychologist and author of the classic book, Creative Dreaming, writes:
“A gift for lucid dreamers and would-be lucid dreamers everywhere, Dr. Johnson has written a powerful resource book that is also inspirational. Highly recommended!”
Carlos Schenck, MD, sleep disorder specialist and author of SLEEP, writes:
“Dr. Johnson has clearly established herself to be the ultimate guide to lucid dreaming. This is a magnificent book!”

I wrote this book for you and for anyone who wants to discover more about the creative possibilities of lucid dreaming, the science behind waking up in our dreams, and the profound ways in which lucidity can help us to live richer, more meaningful lives.
Enjoy! I’d love to hear your thoughts on any of my books.
Wishing you beautiful lucid dreams,
(Did I mention how amazing it was to hold my book in my hands for the first time? I’m very happy with my publisher, who have made it look and feel so beautiful. The colours glow, the paper is high quality, and it is a wonderfully inviting book. Thank you, Llewellyn Worldwide!)
